Team Magic

I knew it was coming soon... and I was bracing for this year to be "the one." I pinned all the great "letters" to give when the time was right, I went over what I would say over cups of hot cocoa  filled with whipped cream and candy canes, with Christmas music playing softy in the background. It was snowing too...

What I got was The Hubby and G sitting on our back patio in the 80 degree Florida winter, with The Hubby saying "I think there are some questions that you might have about Christmas that you possibly already know the answers to, but are afraid to ask. Am I right?" And G responding"I think I know...Santa isn't real, right?" 

He's a smart kid and was on the fence.. wanting to believe, but starting to pull back the Wizard's curtain and asking more probing questions. I could see the twinkle was fading and we needed to recharge it fast!

So, G welcome to "Team Magic"... the fun begins. The magic now lives with you... it's a great responsibility that you now have for the rest of your life. You get to help make magic for your brother and sister and then for your future children. 

He's excited to know and has taken on the nightly task of moving the elves (yes, elves, plural.. we have two...don't ask) but he's already said that he doesn't want to stay up late on Christmas Eve... he wants to be surprised in the morning. So, the magic is still alive and well.

Back in the Blog Saddle Again

2016 is creeping out and 2017 is slowly opening the door.
Ok, I'll say it... "where has the time gone???"

We are going to attempt this blogging thing again...for a few reasons.
          #1- I miss writing!!! (so this blog MIGHT be a tiny bit selfish on my part)
          #2- I'm getting sick of the "social media drama" (we aren't leaving it, just going to spend less                      time visiting and more time pouring into our little family)
          #3- Our family is hilarious!!! If you have heard some of the zingers that have come out of our                    children's mouths on a daily basis, you know!! I want to spread the joy!

It might not be updated everyday (ok, I can PROMISE you it won't!) or weekly (we might get lucky!) but once a month you will get to peak into our little life!!
